The Essentials are carefully modified versions of classic bamboo fly rod tapers, that are solid built from hand-selected culms of bamboo. Forty to fifty hours of work are required to complete each rod. These two-piece rods are currently offered for line weights three through six, in lengths from 6 to 8 feet. Bright Nickel Silver hardware, metal stripping guides, fine silk wraps, and carefully applied spar varnish are all standard. Blued hardware and agate stripping guides are available as options. All of the rods in this collection include a rod sock and brass-capped aluminum rod tube.
